Tamil Vanni brings you this week's top stories from BarathVector News.

This Week's Headlines

1. The Energy Transition Reality

The IEA's World Energy Outlook confirms what many suspected: fossil fuels aren't going away. Oil demand is projected to grow to 113 million barrels per day by 2050 under current policies.

But there's a solution on the horizon. Biocrude technology - produced from algae and organic waste - can drop into existing refineries while cutting emissions by half. The India-GCC corridor is emerging as a biocrude powerhouse.

2. India's Trade Revolution

In just six months, India signed two landmark trade deals - with the UK and Oman. The India-Oman agreement gives zero-duty access on 98 percent of tariff lines.

November exports hit a record $74 billion. India now has 15 active free trade agreements, with the EU and GCC next in line.

3. The Carbon Reality Check

The Global Carbon Budget 2025 delivered sobering news: the 1.5 degree target is virtually exhausted. We have about four years of carbon budget remaining at current emission rates.

But India is responding - 234 gigawatts of renewable capacity, a domestic carbon market launching in January, and a 500 gigawatt renewable target by 2030.

4. The Future of AI

Yann LeCun launched AMI Labs, valued at $3.5 billion before shipping a product. The mission: build "world models" - AI that simulates physics rather than predicting words.

This could be the answer to AI hallucinations that plague current chatbots. Medical AI hallucinates 80-90% of the time. World models could change that.
